Rajat Tokas

Rajat Tokas is an Indian actor, known primarily for his work in television historical dramas. He first portrayed Prithviraj Chauhan in the series Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan, Emperor Akbar in Jodha Akbar, and most recently Chandragupta Maurya in Chandra Nandni

Rajat started his television career with show Bongo as Ashu on DD national. he did many shows like lighthouse for children, jadui chirag, tarang, ye hawayan etc. Then in 2005 he came to mumbai with his father & got his 1st role of Tantya, who was saibaba's brother in Sai Baba

In 2006 he was selected by Sagar Arts to play his 1st lead role of young Prithviraj Chauhan in the series Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan for which he won several awards including best actor in ITA 2007 & best yogya jodi award along with his co-star mugdha chapekar in Star Parivar Awards 2007. his role was supposed to be for 3-5 episodes but due to his performance & increasing popularity he went on to do about 200 episodes.
                                          
In 2008 he did another mega show called DharamVeer with sagars where he played veer. Here also his performance was loved by all.In 2010, Tokas was selected by Ekta Kapoor to play the parallel lead in Tere Liye where he played the character of Robindo Ganguly. Later, he did episodic roles in Bandini and Fear Files: Darr Ki Sacchi Tasvirein

In 2012, he was once again selected by Kapoor to reprise the role of Emperor Akbar in her soap opera, Jodha Akbar for which he went on to win BIG Star Most Entertaining Television Actor - Male, Star Guild Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series, Boroplus Gold Award for Best Actor in Lead Role (Critics),Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Lead Role. Recently,he played the role of kabir(Icchadhari Nevla) in Naagin, a TV serial which was aired on Colors TV. Currently he is playing the role of Chandragupta Maurya in the popular star plus show Chandra Nandini.
