Sunjay Dutt Sanjay Balraj Dutt, born on 29 July 1959 is an Indian film actor and producer known for his work in Hindi cinema (Bollywood). The son of veteran Hindi film actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt, he made his acting debut in 1981 and has since appeared in more than 100 Hindi films. Although Dutt has enjoyed great success as a lead actor in genres ranging from romance to comedy, it has been the roles of gangsters, thugs and police officers in the drama and action genres that have won him much appreciation. World Population Day World Population day is an annual event, observed on July 11 every year, which seeks to raise awareness of global population issues. The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in 1989. It was inspired by the public interest in Five Billion Day on July 11, 1987-approximately the date on which the world's population reached five billion people. World Population Day aims at increase people's awareness on various population issues such as the importance of family planning, gender equality, poverty, maternal health and human rights. While press interest and general awareness in the global population surges only at the increments of whole billions of people, the world population increases by 100 million approximately every 14 months. Comoros The Union of the Comoros celebrates its Independence Day on July 6. This public holiday celebrates the day, when the Comoros gained independence from France. The Union of the Comoros consists of four islands: Grande Comore, Mohéli, Anjouan and Mayotte. The island of Mohéli became French protectorate in 1886, when its sultan Mardjani Abdou Cheikh asked protection from France. The same year one of the sultans of Grande Comore, Said Ali of Bambao, asked French for protection in exchange for their support of his claim to the entire island. The four islands were unified in a single administration and placed under French protection in 1908. After abolishment of the protectorates in 1912, the islands became a province of the colony of Madagascar. World Vitiligo Day The   World Vitiligo Day , observed on June 25, is an initiative aimed to build global awareness about   vitiligo , a frequent and often disfiguring skin disease that can have a significantly negative social or psychological impact on patients, in part because of numerous misconceptions still present in large parts of the world.
